Example data file and image setups

Example 1: All images combined into one big directory

Example 2: Each specimen's images are organized into a separate subdirectory

All images should be uniquely named across subdirectories. At minimum it is suggested to follow the convention: "specimenID_001.jpg", "specimenID_002.jpg"...
For organizational purposes it may help to add species and angle to the filename, e.g., "Genus_species_specimenID_face.jpg", "Genus_species_specimenID_dorsal.jpg"...

specimens.csv: specimenID, genus, and specificEpithet are required fields. Other fields are optional but recommended

images.csv: specimenID, angle, and filename are required fields. Other fields are optional but recommended

angle: Not all angles are required but included angles should use these names:

ANGLE DESCRIPTION
face Image of the bee's face angled so you can see a portion of the head above the ocelli
left_side_parallel Left side squared up
left_side_front Left side angled toward face (~30 degrees)
left_side_back Left side angled back (~30 degrees)
left_top_side_parallel Left side parallel but angled down (~30 degrees) so you can also see the top
left_top_side_front Left side angled toward face (~30 degrees) and angled down (~30 degrees) so you can also see the top
left_top_side_back Left side angled toward back (~30 degrees) and angled down (~30 degrees) so you can also see the top
right_side_parallel Same as above but views of the right side
right_side_front
right_side_back
right_top_side_parallel
right_top_side_front
right_top_side_back
dorsal Top down image of the bee

Use the thorax as a focal point for establishing angles (except for face) as body other parts can be oriented in different directions

Specimen labels do not need to be removed
